
Guwahati, 24 July (HS): Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya on Friday reviewed the flood relief operations of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Assam State Branch, at Lok Bhavan. He assessed the ongoing humanitarian response for flood-affected people across the state.
The Governor directed the Red Cross to strengthen its emergency response system, ensure timely delivery of relief materials, and take preventive measures against water-borne and vector-borne diseases. He also assured full support to the organisation and said assistance from the Centre would be sought, if required, to strengthen relief and rehabilitation efforts.-----------
