Centenarian Freedom Fighter Bimbadhar Muduli Passes Away at 102

Bhubaneswar, 24 July (H.S.): Eminent freedom fighter and President of the State Freedom Fighters’ Association, Bimbadhar Muduli, passed away on Thursday at the age of 102.

Muduli breathed his last while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital. A native of Kendrapara district, he had played a significant role in India’s freedom struggle and remained actively engaged in public life even in his later years.

He was recently elected as the President of the State Freedom Fighters’ Association and continued to serve the organization with dedication.

His demise has cast a pall of gloom across Odisha, with tributes pouring in from various quarters remembering his lifelong commitment to the nation.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief over Muduli’s passing. In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said he was deeply saddened by the demise of the veteran leader and noted that his immense contribution to the nation and selfless service would be remembered in history for generations to come.
