Bhubaneswar, 21 July (H.S.): Odisha Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling conducted a comprehensive review of infrastructure development and ongoing expansion works at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack during a high-level meeting held on the premises.
During his visit, the Minister assessed measures to strengthen hospital infrastructure and enhance fire safety systems within the campus. He also reviewed the progress of the ongoing expansion and redevelopment of the premier medical institution.
Dr. Mahaling inspected key construction sites, including the CN1 and CN4 blocks of the new building complex, and evaluated the pace and quality of work. He further visited the PG hostel, resident doctors’ hostel, and residential quarters of assistant professors to examine the facilities and address existing concerns.
Emphasising timely completion of all ongoing projects, the Minister directed officials to ensure adherence to deadlines while maintaining high construction quality standards. He also stressed the need to create a better living environment for doctors and students within the campus.
Among those present during the visit were Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Sethi, Choudwar MLA Saubhik Biswal, the Health Secretary, and other senior departmental officials.
