Hyderabad, July 18 (HS): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday congratulated Hyderabad-based space-tech startup Skyroot Aerospace on the successful test flight of its Vikram-1 launch vehicle under Mission Aagaman, describing it as a historic milestone for India's space sector and a proud moment for Telangana.

In a statement, the Chief Minister said the successful test flight of the indigenously developed orbital-class launch vehicle reflects India's growing technological capabilities and innovation in the field of space exploration.

Recalling his visit to Skyroot Aerospace in April this year, Revanth Reddy said he had flagged off the transportation of the Vikram-1 flight hardware to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota ahead of the launch campaign.

He said the successful mission marks a significant milestone in Telangana's journey towards becoming a global hub for aerospace and space technology, adding that the achievement reinforces the state's position as a leading destination for aerospace innovation, advanced manufacturing and next-generation space technologies.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that such achievements would accelerate Telangana's vision of emerging as a globally recognised aerospace hub while inspiring a new generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.

In a post on X, Revanth Reddy said, Reaching for the skies... it is a proud day for India, and even greater pride for Hyderabad. He congratulated the Skyroot Aerospace team and said Hyderabad's innovation ecosystem continues to lead the country into the future.
