
Guwahati, 18 July (HS): Assam Police carried out a major anti-narcotics operation in Dibrugarh district, recovering 1.35 kg of heroin, ₹14.06 lakh in cash and two vehicles from Naharkatia under Tingkhong Police Station.
During the operation, police arrested one accused, while further investigation is underway to trace the wider drug trafficking network operating in the region.
Reacting to the seizure, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the successful operation reflects the state's unwavering resolve to eliminate the narcotics menace. He reiterated that Assam Police will continue its sustained crackdown on drug traffickers through strict and relentless enforcement.-----------
