Guwahati, 18 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday announced that construction of the ambitious Kamakhya Corridor project, with an estimated cost of over ₹500 crore, has commenced with the blessings of Maa Kamakhya.

In a post on Social Media, the Chief Minister said the project is inspired by the successful Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and aims to provide easier access, better crowd management, and world-class facilities for the lakhs of devotees and visitors who come to the revered Kamakhya Temple every year.

Dr. Sarma added that the Kamakhya Corridor will not only enhance the pilgrimage experience but also give a significant boost to Assam's spiritual tourism, strengthening the state's position as a major religious and cultural destination.------------
