Varanasi, 16 July (HS): Addressing village council
representatives from across the country at the Panch Sammelan organized on VB-G
RAM G at the Rudraksh Center in Sigra, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief
Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said, We must work with the goal of
developing village councils. We must strengthen farmers. We can achieve goals
only when we set them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the goal of a
developed India and has so far lifted 250 million people above the poverty
line.
Keshav Prasad Maurya said that we have set a goal of making
Uttar Pradesh slum-free. We are receiving guidance from the Prime Minister in
this. Coming from a poor family, I have been a Deputy Chief Minister in
politics for the last nine years. I know how difficult it is for the poor to
get treatment. Previously, people were unable to get treatment in hospitals, or
they would end up in debt. Prime Minister Modi launched the Ayushman Bharat
scheme. Because of this, today every poor person is able to get treatment in a
hospital.
The Deputy Chief Minister said, I would like to tell
the village heads that if you are the village heads, then do so much work in
those villages that in the future, whoever you point your finger at becomes the
village head. Prime Minister Modi has provided so many projects for the poor
and helpless, which will end their poverty. Projects were launched to empower
women, and today women are standing on their own feet. Work should also be done
to empower women at the village council level. I would like to tell all the
village heads gathered here to empower women in their areas. A strong India and
a strong Uttar Pradesh will be achieved only when strong village councils are
formed. In the future, the crisis of paying salaries in the village councils
will be resolved. All of you should go with the pledge that you will strengthen
the villages so much that a developed India will begin from the villages.
He said, We are committed to creating a developed
environment in every village under the VB-G RAM G project. The double-engine
government has no shortage of funds. Work hard at the village level, and we
will support you. I'm not just talking about Uttar Pradesh; the entire North
India should not be left behind. Go with this resolve.
