16 July (HS): Modern technological gadgets will be used during Ashadi Vari, to

ensure security of the devotees and smooth conduct of the procession. Solapur

Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni said the gadgets to be used include 5G

Walkie Talkie, QR codes, Artificial Intelligence, Drone Cameras and 350 CCTV

Cameras.

Kulkarni was taking to the media after reviewing the arrangements for the celebrations.

Strong police bandobast has been made as Sant Gyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi has

reached Natepute village and Sant Tukaram Palkhi arrived in Akluj town. Heavy

vehicles have been banned entro on the procession route from July 17. QR condes

have been installed at temporary bus stands, vehicle parking spaces and other

important places for the devotees to contact police. Through the QR code devotees

will be guided towards the Vitthal Rukhmai Temple. Iinstructions have been

issued to ensure safety at 65 locations Chandrabhaga River. The information

about the queue and entry into the temple will be available on mobile.

For

the first time 5G Walkie Talkie are being used to monitor visit of the Chief

Minister and other VVIPs and controlling crowd.

Drone

cameras, watch towers, Bomb Detection and Defusal Squade (BDDS) and 350 cameras

will watch trouble creators. Security of millions of devotees is the top

priority of the police, Kulkarni said.
