Guwahati, 15 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday informed the Assam Legislative Assembly that work on the Guwahati Ring Road is progressing at full pace, with construction currently underway at 20 locations across the project.

The Chief Minister also announced an additional allocation of ₹150 crore to address the recurring flood situation in Jorabat. As part of the government's urban beautification initiative, he said Azar saplings will be planted along the stretch from Jalukbari to Khanapara.

Dr. Sarma further stated that the government is planning to develop a four-lane road connecting Digaru and Narengi to improve connectivity in the region. The announcements were made during his address in the Assembly.-----------
