According to preliminary information, Jaiden was travelling on an electric bike when it collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction. The impact of the crash left the teenager with critical injuries.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and Jaiden was airlifted by an air ambulance to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for advanced treatment. Despite the efforts of doctors, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Police said the 55-year-old driver of the car was not injured in the accident. Authorities have not indicated any immediate charges, and the circumstances leading to the collision are being investigated.
