Prayagraj, 14 July (HS): The second day of the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-69) of 15 UP Battalion NCC witnessed an action-packed training schedule designed to acquaint 660 NCC cadets with military life while enhancing their leadership, technical, and life skills. The day commenced with Physical Training (PT) in the early morning, followed by a drill parade, instilling discipline, endurance, and teamwork among the cadets.

One of the major attractions of the day was the live firing practice, where Junior Division and Junior Wing cadets experienced weapon firing for the first time under the close supervision of trained instructors, boosting their confidence and introducing them to the fundamentals of safe weapon handling. The Senior Division and Senior Wing cadets attended intensive training sessions on map reading, weapon training, technical skills, and health & hygiene, strengthening their military knowledge and practical awareness.

A special introductory session on drone technology was also conducted to familiarize cadets with the fundamentals, applications, and operational aspects of drones. This will be followed by hands-on practical drone training on the next day, enabling cadets to gain firsthand experience in operating drone systems.

The evening featured central games, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness, followed by the screening of a training movie on Operation Red Wings, providing cadets with valuable insights into military values, leadership, and the Armed Forces.

Commanding Officer Col. Ritu Srivastava Rawat informed the press that the camp has been carefully designed to provide cadets with a balanced blend of military training, modern technological exposure, physical fitness, and life skills. She stated that the introduction of drone training alongside conventional military subjects reflects the evolving role of technology in national security and disaster response. She expressed confidence that the camp will help shape disciplined, responsible, and confident young citizens ready to contribute meaningfully to the nation.
