
Lucknow, 10 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath said on Friday that Ayodhya and Basti will enter a new chapter of
development, as he is expected to launch and lay the groundwork for many
projects in the two districts later in the day. This would be Adityanath's
second visit to Ayodhya since the scandal over suspected donation theft at the
Ram temple erupted.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be visiting Ayodhya,
Basti, and Gorakhpur on Friday. In Ayodhya, he will unveil 217 projects worth
Rs 432.70 crore. In Basti, he will inaugurate 77 projects worth Rs 504.34
crore, unveil the statue of former minister Munna Singh in Sohawal, and perform
the groundbreaking ceremony for a composite school in Haraiya. He will also
distribute certificates and aid materials to beneficiaries. CM Yogi will also
address public meetings in Ayodhya and Basti.
The following are the highlights of the tour:
Ayodhya Dham: CM Yogi will inaugurate 217 development
projects at a grand event in the Bikapur assembly constituency. He will also
unveil a statue of former minister Munna Singh Chauhan in Sohawal.
Basti: In Haraiya area of Basti district, the Chief
Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate a composite school to be
built at a cost of Rs. 36 crore, a stadium to be built at a cost of Rs. 10
crore, a polytechnic college and Atal residential school.
Security and Arrangements: Tight security arrangements were
made in Basti for this important visit, in which 1460 policemen were deployed. CM
Yogi reiterated the government's commitment to good governance, public welfare
and all-round development of Uttar Pradesh.
He penned a post on X, which reads as follows: “When
development aligns with public welfare and the benefits of schemes reach the
person standing on the last rung of society, that is when good governance
becomes the foundation of public trust. In realization of this very resolve,
today a new chapter of development and public welfare will be added to the
life-beloved city of Lord Shri Ram, Shri Ayodhya Dham, and the land of penance
of Maharishi Vashishtha, Bastī. In Bikapur Vidhan Sabha constituency of Ayodhya
district and Harraiya and Kateen Ganj Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Bastī
district, inauguration/foundation stone laying of various development projects
will take place. At the same time, cheques, approval letters, certificates, and
aid materials will also be distributed to the beneficiaries of public welfare
schemes. It is the resolve of the double-engine government that the benefits of
development reach every citizen and public welfare becomes a means of positive
change in the life of every family.”
