
Lucknow, 10 July (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has
taken cognizance of the loss of life, livestock, and economic damage caused by
heavy rains and lightning in Uttar Pradesh. He expressed his condolences to the
bereaved families of those who died. The Chief Minister has directed officials
to carry out relief and rescue operations.
Heavy rains are lashing most parts of Uttar Pradesh. News of
loss of life, animal loss and other damages are coming in from different areas
of the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of this and
expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The Chief
Minister has directed to assess the loss of life, animal loss and financial
loss caused by heavy rain and lightning and provide compensation within 24
hours. The Chief Minister has directed all senior officers to go to the field
and provide all possible assistance to the affected families. He said that the
officers should communicate with the affected families and provide all possible
assistance. The Chief Minister has wished for the speedy recovery of the
injured.
According to the Meteorological Department, a rain alert has
been issued for 46 districts today. An orange alert for heavy rain has been
issued for Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Shravasti,
Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur,
Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and surrounding areas.
There is a yellow alert in Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria,
Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Gonda, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur
Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur,
Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Hapur,
Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Auraiya and surrounding areas.
