
Lucknow, 10 July (HS): On Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath and numerous other state leaders wished Defence
Minister Rajnath Singh a happy 75th birthday, appreciating his
leadership and wishing him good health and a long life. Singh, who was born on
July 10, 1951, in Babhora village, Chandauli district, is a Lucknow MP who
previously served as Uttar Pradesh's chief minister.
UP CM penned a post on X, which reads as follows: “Heartfelt
birthday greetings to the eminent orator and popular politician, the Honourable
Defence Minister Shri @rajnathsinghji. Your simple personality, humble
demeanor, and unwavering dedication to the nation's interests serve as an
inspiration to millions of fellow countrymen. I pray to Lord Shri Ram for your
good health, long life, and a glorious future.”
Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister, also sent
birthday greetings. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak sent his heartfelt
birthday congratulations and best wishes to Shri Rajnath Singh ji, a popular
leader, famous orator, our mentor, and the country's accomplished Defence
Minister, as well as a respected Member of Parliament from Lucknow, Lord
Lakshman's hallowed region. We pray to God to bless you with good health and a
long life.
According to Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana,
Singh built a solid history of public welfare and excellent administration as
chief minister and increased India's security and strategic strength as Defense
Minister. He wished him good health and longevity.
State Minister Asim Arun praised Singh for his contributions to strengthening
and empowering India's defense establishment, and wished him good health and a
long life.
Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal said the Lucknow Municipal Corporation celebrated
Singh's birthday by starting a massive cleaning push across all 110 wards of
the city.
In a post on X, she stated that the campaign began with flower tributes to the
Mahatma Gandhi statue in Hazratganj, followed by a cleaning effort in which
city officials and staff took part. Kharkwal stated that Singh's unique
attachment to Lucknow, spirit of public service, and dedication to the city's
growth had always been a source of inspiration, and that the campaign was the
Lucknow family's demonstration of service, respect, and commitment to its MP on
his birthday.
