Jammu, 05 June (H.S.): Panun Kashmir (PK) today urged the Government of India to review the evolving security situation in Jammu & Kashmir in view of growing terrorist attacks for last two years.
Talking to reporters here, today PK chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo demanded dismantling of the over-ground support infrastructure of terrorism, protection for tourists, pilgrims, and vulnerable civilian populations, recognizing of the ideological and genocidal dimensions of Jihadi terrorism, reframing of policies that measure security through tourism and narratives of normalcy besides recognizing and reversing the consequences of the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus.
Dr Chrungoo also demanded initiating steps towards the establishment of a secure Homeland for Kashmiri Hindus.
“Ignoring threats to civilian lives, particularly vulnerable Hindu communities, amounts to exposing civilians as human shields in a conflict whose ideological objectives have still not been fully acknowledged. India should not only confront the terrorists but also their network, ideology and historical consequences of Jihadist violence in Jammu & Kashmir,” he added.
