
Mumbai, 05 June
(HS): Following dramatic development on Thursday, the BJP-led Mahayuti ensured unopposed
elections for its six candidates. The polling for remaining 11 seats, including
a by-poll in Nagpur Local Authority Constituencies will be held on June 18.
Nationalist
Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) groups leader MP Sunit Tatkare’s son Aniket Tatkare
from Raigad-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency; former MP Sanjay Kakde’s son
Vikram Kakde of NCP (AP) will be elected unopposed from Pune constituency; Shiv
Sena’s candidate and former minister Satish Chaturvedi’s son Dushyant
Chaturvedi from Yavatmal constituency; Shiva Sena’s Ravindra Phatak ensured
unopposed election from Thane; Senior Leader of BJP Arun Lakhani from
Wardha-Chandrapur-Gadchirli and BJPs Prajakt Tanpure from Ahilyanagar will be
elected unopposed. Although polling in these constituencies will not be held in
these constituencies their elections will be formally announced later.
Elections will
not be held in Sangli-Satara, Kolhapur, Bhandara-Gondia, Amravati, Jalgaon,
Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Jalna, Dharashiv-Latur-Beed, Nanded, and Parbhani-Hingoli
constituencies. Nagpur by-polls will be held on the same day.
