
Bhubaneswar, 05 June (H.S.): The Seva special issue of the monthly magazine ‘Hindu Shatabdi’ was released on Friday under the aegis of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Cuttack Mahanagar.
The event was graced by noted surgeon and State President of the Charak Health Service Project, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Das, as the chief guest. He highlighted the philanthropic and service-oriented traditions of Hindu society and spoke on the importance of population in a democratic system, emphasizing the need for large families.
Harishchandra Pradhan, Zonal Seva Pramukh of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, urged the youth to draw inspiration from the service ideals of Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das. He also spoke on Utkalmani’s leadership and contributions to the Hindu Mahasabha.
Social worker and engineer Bharat Chandra Swain stressed the need for extending organizational service activities to the last mile and reaching the most marginalized sections of society.
Editorial Director and former professor Dr. Malay Kumar Mohanty spoke on the integration of service and culture in the traditions of Lord Jagannath.
Several dignitaries attended the programme, including Managing Editor of the magazine Upendra Pradhan, Advisory Board member Prashant Kumar Panda, Laxmidhar Sahu , Ajay Das, and Banshidhar Pradhan, among others.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Ganesh Kumar Sahu, State Secretary of the Charak Health Service Project.
