Mumbai, 04 June (HS): Renowned film producer and

former Chairman of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Pahlaj Nihlani

passed away on Thursday, due ti liver related healhth issues. He was 76. The

last rites will be held at Santacruz crematorium at 4 pm on Thursday.

Known for quality and popular film Nihlani produced

films like Ankhen, Andaz, Talash, Rangila Raja, July – 2. Film trade analyst

Atul Mohan has called his death as a personal loss.

Nihlani was chairman of CBFC from 1915 to 1997. He

was in the news about disputes related to film certification. His associates

however, supported his views. His contribution as film producer, distributor

and administration will be remembered for many years to come.
