Lucknow, 03 June (HS): The first day of the written

examination for 3,539 Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) posts, conducted by the

Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission under advertisement number

01/2022, was conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and cheating-free

environment in 36 districts of the state on Wednesday. A total of 868,531

candidates applied for the exam. The exam is being conducted in two shifts

daily on June 3 and 4, 2026.

Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar stated that on

Wednesday, June 3, 2026, examinations were held in the first shift for Social

Science, Physical Education, Science, and Urdu, and in the second shift for

Hindi, Mathematics, Agriculture, and Music Singing. The first shift was

conducted at 514 examination centers across the state, and the second shift at

508 examination centers.

He stated that to ensure the purity and transparency of the

examination, all examination centers were continuously monitored from the AI

Integrated Control Command Room established at the Commission's headquarters.

In the presence of Commission members, the Secretary, the Controller of

Examinations, and other senior officials, the activities of the candidates were

continuously monitored through AI cameras.

Dr. Prashant Kumar stated that during the screening of

suspicious candidates in the first shift, two fake candidates were caught each

in Lucknow, Bareilly, and Chitrakoot, and one each in Jaunpur and Mirzapur. In

the second shift, two fake candidates were caught in Lucknow and one in

Hathras, taking the exam in place of another candidate. Of the 11 fake

candidates, nine were immediately arrested by local police, while two escaped

from the examination centers. Legal action is being taken in all cases.

The Commission Chairman stated that the district

administration and police administration actively cooperated in the successful

conduct of the examination. A total of 2,21,489 candidates appeared for the

examination, held on June 3, 2026. Of these, female candidates represented

45.41 percent, while male candidates represented 52.42 percent.
