Nagpur, 03 June (HS): All India Institute of Medical

Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mahatma

Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited for development of

4 megawatt solar energy project.

Nagpur AIIMS Executive Director and CEO Dr Prashant

P Joshi and MAHAPREIT Chief General Manager Santosh Wahane in the presence of

senior officers of both the organisations signed the MoU. The company is a

subsidiary of the Mahatma Phule Backward Classes Development Corporation and

works for developing sustainable and renewable energy.

Nagpur AIIMS had installed 500 kilowatt solar energy

plant in 2019 through Solar Energy Corporation of India. It has also installed

rooftop solar system of the capacity of generating 200 kilowatt with the help

of NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN).

Nagpur AIIMS is consistently working to tap

sustainable and renewable energy sources and reduce carbon emission.
