Supreme Court Collegium Recommends 10 Names for Appointment as Judges in Three High Courts
New Delhi, 03 June (H.S.): The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended 10 names for appointment as judges in three High Courts. It has also recommended the elevation of two Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court as Permanent Judges.

New Delhi, 03 June (H.S.): The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended 10 names for appointment as judges in three High Courts. It has also recommended the elevation of two Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court as Permanent Judges. The recommendations were made during the Collegium meeting held on June 2.

The Collegium recommended the appointment of six judges to the Karnataka High Court, one judge to the Madhya Pradesh High Court, and three judges to the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

The names recommended for appointment as judges of the Karnataka High Court are Raghavendra Sitaram Srivastava, Hema Kulkarni, S. Rangarao, T.P. Vivekananda, B. Pramod, and H.G.S. Bhushan.

For the Madhya Pradesh High Court, the Collegium has recommended the appointment of advocate Amit Lahoti as a judge.

For the Himachal Pradesh High Court, the recommended names are Chirag Bhanu Singh, Bhupesh Sharma, and Yogesh Jaswal.

The Collegium has also recommended that Justice Harmeet Singh Grewal and Justice Deepinder Singh Nalwa, currently serving as Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, be appointed as Permanent Judges of the Court.

The recommendations will now be forwarded to the Central Government for further processing in accordance with the established procedure governing judicial appointments.
