President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several other political leaders have expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of 21 people in a fire that broke out at a restaurant in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar area.

President Murmu, in a post on X, described the loss of lives in the Malviya Nagar fire as deeply distressing. She conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan also expressed grief over the fatalities and extended his sympathies to the affected families. He prayed for strength and courage for those mourning the loss of their loved ones and wished the injured a swift recovery.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said he was deeply saddened by the incident. He noted that local authorities were engaged in relief and rescue operations and that the injured were being provided with the best possible medical care.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the tragedy.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the news of the untimely loss of several precious lives was extremely tragic and heartbreaking.

Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar described the fire tragedy as heart-rending and expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. He also wished all those injured a quick recovery.

Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said the reports of multiple deaths in the Malviya Nagar fire were profoundly painful.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi expressed sorrow over the incident and appealed to all Congress workers to contribute in every possible way to the ongoing relief and rescue efforts. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed grief over the tragedy and urged the state government and authorities to ensure adequate and timely compensation, along with prompt medical care, for the victims and their families.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said the reports of a large number of deaths and injuries to more than three dozen people in the hotel fire were extremely heartbreaking.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav described the news of multiple fatalities as deeply painful and prayed to Lord Mahakal to grant eternal peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the injured.

Arvind Kejriwal, National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, also expressed grief over the tragedy. He said the death of 21 people in such a major incident was deeply saddening and added that the recurring fire accidents in Delhi and the loss of innocent lives were a matter of serious concern.
