New Delhi, 03 June (H.S.): India has strongly condemned the attack on Kuwait International Airport, in which one Indian national was killed and several others were injured.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of External Affairs said that since the onset of the ongoing conflict in West Asia, India has consistently opposed attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure. The Government of India expressed its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack.

The ministry stated that the Indian Embassy is extending all possible assistance to the injured. It added that Indian diplomatic authorities remain in constant contact with local officials to ensure the welfare and safety of Indian nationals affected by the incident.

According to the statement, Indian missions and posts across the region remain fully vigilant and are taking proactive measures to support members of the Indian community during the evolving security situation.

It is noteworthy that Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport was reportedly targeted by Iranian drones and missiles on Tuesday night. The attack caused extensive damage to airport infrastructure, injured approximately 63 people—including airport personnel and passengers—and led to the suspension of flight operations.

India reiterated its concern over the targeting of civilian facilities and emphasized the need to protect innocent lives amid the continuing tensions in West Asia.
