New Delhi, June 3 (HS): Budget carrier IndiGo on Wednesday welcomed the Government of India's decision to provide Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) price stabilisation support to scheduled Indian airlines, describing the move as a timely intervention that will benefit the aviation sector.

In a statement, an IndiGo spokesperson expressed gratitude to the Government of India, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas for announcing the support measure.

The airline said the decision reflects the government's understanding of the critical role played by the aviation sector in connecting people, facilitating mobility and contributing to economic growth.

According to the spokesperson, the ATF price stabilisation support will help create an enabling environment for airlines to serve passengers more efficiently while strengthening the country's aviation ecosystem.

IndiGo further stated that the measure would support the broader vision of positioning India as a global aviation hub by enhancing operational sustainability and encouraging continued growth in the sector.
