(HS): The three accused in the MAHA-TET paper leakage case have been remanded
to the police custody till July 6, by the Bhiwandi Additional District and
Sessions judge S M Sutar.
The paper
leakage was detected on June 27, a day before the examination was to be
conducted across the state. Two more suspects involved in the inter-state
racket are reportedly absconding.
The Maharashtra
State Examination Council had cancelled TET scheduled for June 28, and
announced that fresh date will be announced soon.
Bhiwandi Police
arrested Rajiv Shripayag Shao, Akashkumar Swaraj Kumar and Dheeraj Balraj Singh
and are searching for two more suspects. Further connections in Bihar and
Haryana is being investigated by the police. The monetary transactions are also
being verified as the deal to hand over the question papers for Rs 1.50 crore
came to light during investigation.
Joint
Commissioner of Police Dr Panjabrao Ugve is in Bhiwandi and guiding the
investigation team.
