
Nagpur, 29 June
(HS): Five people of a family from Chandrapur died in a road accident on Sunday
on Samruddhi Mahamarg. The accident occurred near Dhamangaon Railway in
Amravati district when their car rammed into a stationary truck killing five of
Jeevane family.
The deceased have been identified as Mahadev
Shivaji Jeevane (65), his wife Latabai Mahadev Jeevane (60), her son Bhaskar
Mahadev Jeevane (40), daughter-in-law Arati Bhaskar Jeevane (30) and
granddaughter Trushna Bhaskar Jeevane (12).
The family was going
to Akola for a family event. Highway police immediately rushed to the accident
site and shifted them to a nearest hospital. The doctors after examination
declared all of them dead.

Jeevane was selected as Administrative Officer at Government Medical College,
Akola, and had joined her duties on June 25, 2006. She had returned to
Chandrapur on weekend and was going to resume duty on June 29. The family was
accompanying her when her selection through MPSC turned into mourning within
three days.
Arati was
working as Extension Officer at Chandrapur Zilla Paraishad for about four
years. She cleared MPSC for higher position and was relieved by Chandrapur ZP
on June 24, 2026. The family was going to Akola to celebrate her new assignment.
The journey turned into their last journey in this world.
