MEXICO CITY, June 27 (HS/RIA Novosti) - The devastating earthquakes in Venezuela have damaged 1,423 infrastructure facilities, National Assembly Speaker Jorge Rodriguez said.

Three hospitals have been damaged and are already under the control of the joint staff. Twenty-five shopping malls and 1,002 other facilities have also been damaged. Overall, 1,423 infrastructure facilities have been damaged, Rodriguez said in an address to citizens broadcast by VTV.

He said the damaged structures include 380 single-family and multi-family homes, most of which are located in the state of La Guaira.

Two powerful tremors struck Venezuela on Wednesday, with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5, according to the US Geological Survey. According to the latest official data, the death toll has risen to 920, with another 3,360 people injured. Nearly 400 residential buildings were destroyed, infrastructure and hospitals were damaged, and the country's main airport was closed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences over the tragic aftermath of the devastating earthquake. Moscow said it was ready to provide assistance to Caracas.
