BEIJING, June 27 (HS/RIA Novosti) - The Russian and Chinese air forces conducted joint strategic air patrols in the airspace over the Sea of Japan and East China Sea, as well as over the western Pacific Ocean, the Chinese Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

On June 27, the Chinese and Russian air forces conducted the 11th joint strategic air patrol in the airspace over the Sea of Japan, East China Sea, and western Pacific Ocean, the ministry said in a statement.

The joint air patrols demonstrated the shared commitment of Russia and China to maintaining regional peace and stability, the statement added.
