
Gonda, 19 June (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited
Gonda on Friday. During his two-hour program, he reviewed presentations of
proposals submitted by public representatives from 33 assembly constituencies.
He directed that the proposals be improved, primarily to improve connectivity
between the Maa Pateshwari Shaktipeeth Dham and other religious sites.
The Chief Minister approved the development of 13 major
roads connecting the Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth, Swaminarayan Temple in
Devipatan Mandal, Makhouda Dham in Basti, and other major religious sites.
Proposals for more than 1,000 development projects totaling Rs. 4,901.65 crore
were approved.
Chief Minister Yogi reviewed the projects of the Public
Works Department in Maharaja Suheldev Auditorium. He also discussed new work
plans with public representatives. During this, he examined the progress of
road and link road projects of Gonda, Balrampur, Bahraich and Shravasti of
Devipatan Mandal. Along with this, he reviewed the development projects of
Basti, Siddharthnagar and Sant Kabir Nagar of Basti Mandal. He discussed
connecting rural areas with main roads, reconstruction of dilapidated roads,
strengthening of link roads and construction works related to bridges.
Devipatan Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal and
Public Works Department officials briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of
road, bridge, causeway, and other infrastructure development projects. The
Chief Minister directed that pending works be completed in a timely manner. The
officials presented the Chief Minister with progress reports on various
development projects.
During this meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the status
of the pothole-free campaign. He approved 810 projects under the Chief
Minister's Rural Road Scheme, which will cost approximately Rs. 1,472.83 crore.
This will provide better connectivity in rural areas by constructing 1,602
kilometers of roads. More than 50 roads will be widened and repaired.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed presentations of
development projects worth approximately Rs 50 crore each for each assembly
constituency. He discussed the status of development projects with public
representatives. He prioritized proposals focused on improving road
connectivity between urban and rural areas and smooth traffic flow. This
included infrastructure projects. The Chief Minister also reviewed ongoing
development projects in backward areas and aspirational block areas.
The Chief Minister approved the construction of two state
highways, improved connectivity to major industrial areas, 81 minor bridges,
and seven major bridges. He approved bypass roads and overbridges for improved
traffic management in urban areas. He also directed road safety measures to be
implemented in the Devipatan division. He also approved the construction of 12
helipads in rural areas of the district. He also inquired about the status of
the special repair work on the Hardaupatti link road, the special repair work
on the Panditpurwa Nahwa Parasaura via Khajuha link road in Katra Bazaar, the
widening and strengthening of the Subhanpur Belvanohar road, the special repair
work on the Hattipurwa to Kudhiyaon link road, and the construction of the
Chandpurdiha link road.
