Bhubaneswar, 19 June (H.S.): In a major relief for students appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), the Khordha district administration has announced free bus services for candidates who have selected Bhubaneswar as their examination centre.

The NEET examination is scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026. To ensure hassle-free transportation and timely arrival at examination centres, special buses will operate from key transit points, including Bhubaneswar Railway Station (Master Canteen), Baramunda Bus Stand, Khordha Road Railway Station, and Khordha Bus Stand.

In addition to the special services, NEET candidates will also be allowed to travel free of cost on regular government buses operating along these routes on the examination day.

To facilitate transportation to and from the 26 examination centres located across the district, the administration has arranged 108 buses. The initiative is expected to benefit a large number of students, particularly those travelling from distant locations.

Notably, each candidate will be permitted to avail the free transportation facility along with one accompanying parent or guardian.

Students can access the service by producing their NEET admit card while boarding the buses. Officials said the arrangement aims to ease travel concerns for candidates and help them reach their examination centres well before reporting time.

The district administration expressed confidence that the special transport arrangement will ensure a smooth and stress-free travel experience for NEET aspirants appearing for the examination in Bhubaneswar.
