New Delhi/Evian, 16 June (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the G7 Summit in Evian, France, on Tuesday as part of the final leg of his overseas visit.

The Prime Minister will take part in a working session on the theme Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity alongside leaders of G7 countries, partner nations and representatives of major international institutions.

Discussions at the summit are expected to focus on global economic challenges, international cooperation, sustainable development and other key global issues.

On the sidelines of the summit, Modi is expected to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders, including his counterparts from Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to official sources, Modi is also expected to meet US President Donald Trump during the summit.

India's participation in the G7 Summit reflects its growing role in global affairs and its engagement on issues relating to development, peace, security and sustainability.
