(HS): Flight services began today at the Noida International Airport in Jewar,
Gautam Buddha Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh. Union Aviation Minister K. Ram
Mohan Naidu flagged off the first flight. Farmers who donated land for the
airport were transported to Lucknow on this first flight. These farmers will
meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today. Flights have started from here to
four places and in the coming few months, flights will start from here to 12
places.

Mohan Naidu said, We are delighted that the farmers who donated land for
the airport will board the first flight to Lucknow today to meet Uttar Pradesh
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This is a historic day. People were excited about
this project, and today is the day when flight services have commenced.
The Union Minister congratulated the farmers, and everyone involved in the
project's construction. He said that the Noida International Airport was a
vision of the Prime Minister. He envisioned an airport here. Uttar Pradesh
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and others worked together to fulfill this
vision like a mission. Union Aviation Minister Naidu also praised Jewar MLA
Dhirendra Singh, saying that he convinced the farmers to donate their land. The
opening of this airport will greatly benefit the youth and create thousands of
jobs. The people of Jewar will benefit from this.
He said that Noida International Airport is going
to become a hub. It will become a hub for domestic operations. He said that
Jewar will become Asia's largest airport in the future. He said that industry
will grow here, manufacturing will grow, hospitality will grow, and agriculture
will grow. He said that multiple industries will depend on this airport.
Initially, we are starting with 1.2 crore passengers, while the target is to
increase it to 7 crore passengers by Phase-4. He said that the Prime Minister
had laid the foundation stone of an MRO network here. With this airport
operational, many activities will start.

Minister Naidu said that flights to 4 places are starting from today. In the
coming months, flights to 12 destinations will start. In the coming days, Noida
International Airport will be connected to all the major destinations of the
country. He said that Jewar Airport connects many cities of Western Uttar
Pradesh. Noida International Airport will become the base for many cities of
Western UP. Many highways are connected to this airport, due to which people of
Uttar Pradesh and Haryana will also take flights from here. He said that in
future the airport is also being connected with high speed rail. In response to
a question, he said that if the airlines cancel the flights, then the interests
of the passengers will be taken care of.
