
Bhubaneswar, 15 June (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha on June 20 for a one-day official tour, during which he will participate in the state government’s two-year completion celebrations and address a public gathering.
According to official information, the Prime Minister will begin his visit by arriving at the helipad in Paharpur, Mayurbhanj district. From there, he is scheduled to visit the ancestral village of President Droupadi Murmu. The Prime Minister is expected to spend about an hour in the village, where he will interact with members of the President’s family as well as local residents.
Following this engagement, Prime Minister Modi will proceed to Dandabos, where he will attend the main event marking two years of the state government. At the venue, he will address a large public gathering and highlight the development initiatives and achievements of the state government.
Extensive preparations are underway at both administrative and political levels for the high-profile visit. Security arrangements and logistical planning are being finalised to ensure the smooth conduct of the Prime Minister’s programme.
Senior state BJP leader and General Secretary Biranchi Narayan Tripathy stated that the Prime Minister’s visit is expected to provide new momentum to Odisha’s development trajectory. He added that since the formation of the “double-engine government,” coordination between the Centre and the state has strengthened, leading to accelerated development activities.
The visit is being seen as a significant political and administrative event in the state, coinciding with the completion of two years of the current government. The Prime Minister is expected to return after concluding his engagements later in the day.
