Lucknow, 15 June
(HS): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader
and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the
crushing defeat of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar and the Trinamool
Congress in West Bengal, along with the BJP's historic victory, has increased
the frown on Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav. He is so
disheartened and frustrated that he sees a bleak future for his pocket party,
the Samajwadi Party, in Uttar Pradesh. This depression has led him to resort to
irresponsible rhetoric and threats.
In his social media post, the Deputy Chief Minister said
that democracy is at the core of India. Elections here are held every five
years, not at the whim of any party, but in accordance with the Constitution.
The people are the final arbiters. With the commitment to a developed India by
2047, the BJP's lotus will continue to bloom, while the politics of negativity
and desperation will further weaken the SP.
