
Pauri Garhwal, 15 June (HS): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday announced that Kandolia Mahotsav in Pauri Garhwal will be developed as a state festival.
Launching the festival at Ramlila Ground, Dhami said the event serves as an important platform for preserving Uttarakhand's cultural heritage, folk traditions and local talent.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a modern science museum developed by the district administration on Srinagar Road and dedicated several development projects to the district.
Dhami laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 19 development projects worth Rs 10.55 crore. The projects relate to road connectivity, tourism, sports infrastructure, education, irrigation and flood protection.
He said the newly established science museum would help promote scientific temper, innovation and research among students and youth.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that granting Kandolia Mahotsav the status of a state festival would help it gain wider recognition and provide a larger platform for Uttarakhand's cultural traditions.
