
Haridwar, 15 June (HS): BJP leaders on Monday participated in a plantation and public outreach programme in Haridwar to mark 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.
The programme was organised under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign in the Haridwar Assembly constituency.
BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, Haridwar MP and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, state Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik, Haridwar Mayor Kiran Jaisal and other party leaders took part in a plantation drive at Bilkeshwar Colony Park.
Addressing the gathering, the leaders highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Centre during the past 12 years and appealed to citizens to participate in environmental conservation efforts.
The programme was attended by local BJP office-bearers and party workers.
