Tinsukia (Assam), 14 June (HS): A major fire broke out at the Daily Market in Doomdooma, causing extensive damage to several commercial establishments.

According to preliminary reports on Sunday, around six to seven shops were completely gutted in the blaze. The fire spread rapidly through the market area, destroying goods and property worth lakhs of rupees.

Local residents and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and launched efforts to bring the flames under control. No casualties have been reported so far.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine how the blaze started and assess the extent of the damage.---------
