
Bhubaneswar, 13 June (H.S.): A high-level state review meeting was held at Lok Seva Bhavan to assess preparations for the upcoming visit of the Hon’ble President and Prime Minister of India, as well as the state government’s two-year completion celebrations scheduled in Odisha.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, who conducted a detailed review of arrangements and issued necessary directions to ensure smooth execution of all planned events.
According to official information, the Hon’ble President of India Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Rairangpur on June 19. The following day, June 20, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will also visit Rairangpur to participate in the state government’s two-year completion programme.
On June 20, both dignitaries are scheduled to attend various development-related events at Dandbose, including inauguration of completed projects, foundation stone laying of new infrastructure works, and participation in a public address. The events are part of the state’s broader governance milestone celebrations. Senior dignitaries, including the Governor and Chief Minister of Odisha, are also expected to be present.
Prior to the main public programme, both leaders are also likely to visit Pahadpur in Rairangpur to participate in local engagements and view an exhibition showcasing regional initiatives.
The review meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan focused on comprehensive preparedness across multiple sectors, including security arrangements, protocol management, convoy and traffic planning, helipad readiness, airport facilitation, accommodation for guests, medical and emergency services, fire safety, uninterrupted power and water supply, road maintenance, sanitation, telecommunications, and media coordination.
Senior officials from various departments including Home, Industry, Information & Public Relations, Police Administration, and other key agencies participated in the meeting. Senior representatives from Mayurbhanj district administration and police officials joined virtually.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg directed all departments to maintain close coordination, ensure continuous monitoring, and complete all preparations within the stipulated timeline. She emphasized that the highest standards of security and protocol must be maintained during the high-profile visits, with seamless execution of all arrangements at every stage of the programme.
