Orai, 13 June (HS): Addressing a press conference held at

the Rani Laxmibai Auditorium in Vikas Bhawan on Saturday to mark the completion

of 12 years of the central government, Sanjay Singh Gangwar, Minister in Charge

of Jalaun district and Minister of State for Sugarcane Development and Sugar

Industry, Government of Uttar Pradesh, presented a detailed account of the

journey of development, trust, good governance, and public welfare over the

past 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stated

that this journey, which began in 2014, is not merely the story of the

government's tenure, but a powerful chapter in the creation of a new India,

transforming both the face and destiny of the country. The Minister in Charge

stated that the people of the country expressed their trust in Prime Minister

Narendra Modi in 2014, strengthened that trust by giving him an even greater

majority in 2019, and by electing him Prime Minister for a third consecutive

term in 2024, they have proven that the country no longer believes in mere

promises, but in results and actions.

He said that due to this unwavering public trust, the National

Democratic Alliance (NDA) is today serving the people in 22 states. He said

that after taking oath for the third time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi first

signed the file for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, conveying the

message that the poor, farmers, youth, and women are the government's top

priority. The mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka

Prayas has become a mantra for the people, and every government scheme is

being implemented with the goal of reaching the last person. He said that as a

result, approximately 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty in

recent years. The Minister-in-Charge said that transparency has been ensured

through digital governance and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), and by removing millions

of fake beneficiaries, approximately Rs. 4.31 lakh crore has been saved from

falling into wrong hands.

He said that today India's borders are secure, and decisive

actions like surgical strikes and air strikes have made the world realize the

strength of a new India. He said that due to effective action against Naxalism,

the country's red corridor is now transforming into a green growth zone.

Referring to public welfare schemes, the Minister-in-Charge said that more than

58 crore bank accounts have been opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan

Yojana, of which more than 32 crore are women's accounts. Since the Corona

period, free rations are being provided to more than 81 crore people. More than

60 crore health cards have been issued under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, and

more than 58 crore people have been provided security cover through the Pradhan

Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.

He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, pucca

houses have been provided to over 4 crore families, while under the Ujjwala

Yojana, 11 crore women have been freed from smoke by providing gas connections.

Through the Jal Jeevan Mission, tap water has been provided to over 16 crore

rural families, and under the Swachh Bharat Mission, sanitation has been

transformed into a mass movement by constructing over 12 crore toilets. He

informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, loans have been

provided to over 74 lakh street vendors. Through the Pradhan Mantri Mudra

Yojana, over 57 crore unsecured loans have been distributed, and under the

Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, over 30 lakh artisans have benefited.

A budget of Rs 15,000 crore has been made for the upliftment

of tribal society and Rs 79,000 crore has been arranged for Dharti Aba Gram

Utkarsh Abhiyan. While discussing the welfare of farmers, he said that under

the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, an amount of Rs 4.3 lakh crore

has been sent directly to the accounts of more than 11 crore farmers.

Through the Kisan Credit Card Scheme, affordable loans worth

approximately Rs. 10 lakh crore have been made available to over 7 crore

farmers. The loan limit for farmers has been increased from Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 5

lakh. He said that, providing relief to the middle class, the income tax

exemption limit has been raised to Rs. 12.75 lakh. Describing women empowerment

as a major achievement of the government, he said that over 3 crore women have

benefited through the Lakhpati Didi Scheme, and over 4.5 crore accounts have been

opened under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. The number of women officers in the

security forces has increased from 3,000 to 11,000. Under the Pradhan Mantri

Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, solar power systems have been installed in 1

crore homes. Discussing development works, the Minister in-charge said that

under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development has been

pursued as a continuous mission.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), nearly

800,000 kilometers of rural roads have been constructed so far, with nearly

400,000 kilometers constructed in the last 12 years. This has strengthened

rural connectivity, facilitated farmers' access to markets, and improved access

to education and health services. He noted that under the Per Drop More

Crop campaign of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, over 10.9

million hectares of land has been brought under micro-irrigation. The national

highway network has expanded from 91,000 kilometers to approximately 146,000

kilometers, and approximately 34 kilometers of national highways are being

constructed every day. Projects like the Chenab Bridge, the new Pamban Bridge,

and the Atal Tunnel symbolize the engineering prowess of modern India. He added

that over 99.6 percent of Indian Railways' broad gauge network has been

electrified, and over 1,337 railway stations are being modernized under the

Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Currently, over 164 Vande Bharat Express trains

are operating across the country, symbolizing a modern and safe India. He said

that in 2014, the country had a metro network of 248 kilometers in just five

cities, which has now grown to over 1,095 kilometers in more than 26 cities.

Over 90 new airports have been built in the last 12 years, bringing the total

number of airports in the country to over 164. The UDAN scheme has made air

travel accessible to ordinary citizens.

The Minister-in-Charge stated that electricity has been

provided to every household through the Saubhagya Yojana, and 2.14 lakh gram

panchayats have been connected to broadband internet under the BharatNet

project. In the education and health sectors, 23 new AIIMS and medical colleges

have been approved, and over 5.4 crore children have been vaccinated under

Mission Indradhanush. Along with development, the government has also given a

new identity to the country's cultural heritage and national pride. Rajpath was

renamed Kartavya Path, a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was installed at

India Gate, five sites associated with Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar were

developed as Panchtirtha, and the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda is

being celebrated as Tribal Pride Day. He said that the Statue of Unity, the new

Parliament House, Lok Kalyan Marg, Amrit Udyan, the establishment of Sengol,

the National War Memorial, and the naming of islands after Paramvir Chakra

winners symbolize the cultural consciousness and national pride of the new

India. Campaigns like Tiranga in every house, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Fit India and

Vocal for Local have worked to unite the countrymen.

Referring to India's growing global reputation, the

Minister-in-Charge said that through the Vaccine Maitri Abhiyan, India has

played the role of a trusted friend in the world by assisting 99 countries. The

successful presidency of the G-20, the establishment of 39 new embassies,

foreign direct investment of over Rs. 70 lakh crore, and free trade agreements

with many countries are evidence of India's growing global credibility. He said

that today 177 countries are celebrating International Yoga Day, which is a

reflection of India's cultural strength. The Minister-in-Charge said that June

10th is an important day in India's democratic history, when Prime Minister

Narendra Modi surpassed the country's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal

Nehru’s record, to become the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India's

history. He said that Prime Minister Modi's 32 international honors and his

global popularity are a matter of pride for every citizen of India. At the end

of the press conference, the Minister in-charge said that the last 12 years of

the Modi government are not just an account of achievements, but a continuous

journey towards building a developed, self-reliant, prosperous and strong

India, which is being continuously strengthened by the trust and participation

of the people of the country.

On this occasion, Sadar MLA Gaurishankar Verma, Madhogarh
