Bhubaneswar, 11 June (H.S.): In view of the upcoming Raja festivities, the authorities of Nandankanan Zoological Park have announced a temporary revision in the weekly closure schedule to facilitate increased tourist footfall.
As per the revised plan, both the zoological and botanical sections of the park, which are normally closed on Mondays, will remain open on June 15, coinciding with Raja Sankranti celebrations.
In lieu of this change, the park will remain closed on Tuesday, June 16 instead of the regular Monday weekly off.
Authorities stated that the decision has been taken considering the expected surge in visitors during the festive period, particularly when major holidays coincide with routine closure days. Such adjustments are routinely made to ensure public convenience and to accommodate tourist demand.
The revised schedule is expected to assist both local residents and tourists in planning their visits during the Raja holiday period.
