Hyderabad, 11 June (H.S.): The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-led organisation campaigning on education-related issues, has announced a protest at Dharna Chowk in Hyderabad on June 14 as part of a nationwide agitation seeking reforms in the examination and recruitment system.
According to the schedule released by the organisation, the Hyderabad protest will begin at 10 a.m. on June 14. Similar demonstrations have also been planned in Bengaluru, Jaipur and New Delhi.
Addressing a press conference in Pune, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said the movement would focus on issues affecting students and job aspirants across the country. The organisation also released an education manifesto outlining its demands.
Among the key issues raised by the group are prevention of question paper leaks, timely declaration of examination results, transparency in recruitment and entrance examinations, and greater accountability of examination authorities.
Dipke said the protests would be conducted peacefully and within the constitutional framework. He also stated that the organisation was willing to engage in dialogue with the government on education reforms.
The group has recently gained attention through social media campaigns and protests highlighting alleged irregularities in competitive examinations and recruitment processes.
Organisers said the Hyderabad programme at Dharna Chowk would be part of the nationwide campaign to draw attention to concerns raised by students and youth.
