
Guwahati, 12 June (HS): Railway Police in Guwahati have apprehended nine Bangladeshi nationals from the Guwahati Railway Station on suspicion of illegally entering Assam last night.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the individuals may have crossed into the state through the international border in Assam's Cachar district before reaching Guwahati. The authorities are verifying their identities and travel routes.
The detained Bangladeshi nationals are currently in the custody of the Guwahati Railway Police, where they are being questioned. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances of their entry into India and whether any trafficking or illegal immigration network was involved.----------
