Mumbai, 10 June (HS): Rich tributes were paid to late Ajit Pawar on the 27th

Foundation Day of Nationalist Congress Party in Mumbai on Wednesday. NCP (Ajit

Pawar) group President Sunetra Pawar appealed to the party workers to continue

with the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma

Jyotiba Phule, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Yeshwatrao Chavan and others, for

development of Maharashtra.

The

emotion-filled event, the first after Ajit Pawar’s demise, saw workers

remembering contribution of Ajit Pawar for his quality as leader and as Deputy

Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Political development resulted fraction in the

party, with majority supporting Ajit Pawar group. Both the factions, another

led by Sharad Pawar celebrating the foundation day separately.

Pawar recalled contribution of NCP in 27 years and credited party workers for

the hard work they have put in for the development of the party. We have lost

at leader in Ajit Pawar, who was close to every worker in his good and difficult

days. He was a leader of masses. She appealed to the workers to continue with

his dream of developing developed Maharashtra.
