Jorhat (Assam), 10 June (HS): A man was allegedly killed by his wife in Bahfala area under Pulibor Police Station in Assam's Jorhat district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Yadav. According to reports, he sustained fatal injuries after being attacked with a sharp weapon, allegedly by his wife, Bogimoni Yadav.

Preliminary investigation suggests that a family dispute may have led to the incident. Following the occurrence, police reached the spot and launched an investigation.

The accused wife has been arrested and further legal proceedings are underway. Police are probing the exact circumstances surrounding the killing.-----------
