Gold prices moved higher in the domestic bullion market during early trading on Wednesday, while silver prices remained unchanged across the country.
Following the latest rise, gold became costlier by ₹1,370 to ₹1,490 per 10 grams in most bullion markets nationwide. In Chennai, gold prices registered an increase ranging from ₹1,370 to ₹1,440 per 10 grams. Silver, however, showed no change and continued to trade at previous levels.
As a result of the upward movement, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹153,170 and ₹154,920 per 10 grams across most major bullion markets. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of ₹140,410 to ₹142,010 per 10 grams.
With no change in silver prices, the white metal continued to trade at ₹259,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
In the national capital, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹153,320 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹140,560 per 10 grams.
In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was available at ₹153,170 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹140,410 per 10 grams.
Similarly, in Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹153,220 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹140,460 per 10 grams.
Among other major cities, Chennai recorded the highest rates, with 24-carat gold trading at ₹154,920 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹142,010 per 10 grams.
In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹153,170 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹140,410 per 10 grams.
In Bhopal, the price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹153,220 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹140,460 per 10 grams.
Jaipur witnessed 24-carat gold prices at ₹153,320 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹140,560 per 10 grams.
In Patna, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹153,220 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹140,460 per 10 grams.
The bullion market in Lucknow quoted 24-carat gold at ₹153,320 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹140,560 per 10 grams.
Gold prices also recorded gains in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In the state capitals of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹153,170 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹140,410 per 10 grams.
Despite the rise in gold prices, silver remained stable across major markets, reflecting a relatively balanced demand outlook for the precious metal.
