Pune, 10 June

(HS): Threat to blast mayors’ office in Mumbai and Pune and RSS Headquarters in

Nagpur using IED Bombs received by Pune police on its official e-main ID,

alerted police in entire state. Police have appealed to the people to maintain

peace, with security hike in the places under threat. The Cyber Crime unit has

initiated search for the individual who had posted the threat message.

Besides Mayor’s

offices in Mumbai and Pune, some sensitive places in Nagpur including RSS

Headquarters have been mentioned. The message also included dates and timings

of the blasts.

The Bomb

Detection and Defusing Squad have started search operations in Pune. At the

same time other units in Mumbai and Nagpur have also been alerted immediately

after receipt of the threats.

So far nothing

objectionable was found in the search operation.
