Prayagraj,

01 June (HS): An important meeting of the Prayag Chemists Association was held

at Hotel Velvet, Civil Lines. The meeting was chaired by Lalu Mittal, president

of the association. Addressing the meeting, President Lalu Mittal stated that

the pharmaceutical trade is currently facing numerous challenges. It's crucial

for traders to remain organized and united to address issues such as the

expanding Jan Aushadhi Centers, the growing sale of generic medicines, online

commerce, problems with expiry and breakage disposal, unnecessary pressure from

officials, and the forced closure of drug stores under various circumstances.

He announced a membership drive and organizational expansion to further

strengthen the organization.

On

the recommendation of RCDA State General Secretary Rajendra Saini, President

Lalu Mittal expanded the organization by assigning important responsibilities

to several senior and active businessmen. State Treasurer Praveen Vajpayee

congratulated all the newly appointed office bearers and honored them with

robes. Under this, senior businessman Makhanlal Agarwal was nominated as

Chairman, Raju Yadav as General Secretary (Organization), Arun Tiwari as Vice

President, Neeraj Yadav Chacha as Minister and Satyam Yadav as

Co-Minister. Apart from this, many traders of Medical Hospital Medicine Market

were included as executive members, prominent among them are Manoj Kumar,

Prince Yadav, Amit Yadav and Bablu Sangam.

Association's

General Secretary Ravi Sharma welcomed and congratulated all the newly

appointed office bearers and members by garlanding them and distributing sweets

and wished them all the best for their new responsibilities. Newly appointed

Chairman Makhanlal Agarwal said that the first impact of any unpleasant

incident in the city falls on the medicine shops in the Medical Hospital area

and often the traders here have to face unnecessary anger. Meanwhile, General

Secretary (Organization) Raju Yadav expressed concern and said that incidents

of misbehavior, abuse, closure of shops and harassment against the traders are continuously

increasing, against which organized efforts are needed. A large number of

medicine traders were present in the meeting and all resolved to work together

to strengthen the organization and protect the interests of the traders.
