01 June (HS): An important meeting of the Prayag Chemists Association was held
at Hotel Velvet, Civil Lines. The meeting was chaired by Lalu Mittal, president
of the association. Addressing the meeting, President Lalu Mittal stated that
the pharmaceutical trade is currently facing numerous challenges. It's crucial
for traders to remain organized and united to address issues such as the
expanding Jan Aushadhi Centers, the growing sale of generic medicines, online
commerce, problems with expiry and breakage disposal, unnecessary pressure from
officials, and the forced closure of drug stores under various circumstances.
He announced a membership drive and organizational expansion to further
strengthen the organization.
On
the recommendation of RCDA State General Secretary Rajendra Saini, President
Lalu Mittal expanded the organization by assigning important responsibilities
to several senior and active businessmen. State Treasurer Praveen Vajpayee
congratulated all the newly appointed office bearers and honored them with
robes. Under this, senior businessman Makhanlal Agarwal was nominated as
Chairman, Raju Yadav as General Secretary (Organization), Arun Tiwari as Vice
President, Neeraj Yadav Chacha as Minister and Satyam Yadav as
Co-Minister. Apart from this, many traders of Medical Hospital Medicine Market
were included as executive members, prominent among them are Manoj Kumar,
Prince Yadav, Amit Yadav and Bablu Sangam.
Association's
General Secretary Ravi Sharma welcomed and congratulated all the newly
appointed office bearers and members by garlanding them and distributing sweets
and wished them all the best for their new responsibilities. Newly appointed
Chairman Makhanlal Agarwal said that the first impact of any unpleasant
incident in the city falls on the medicine shops in the Medical Hospital area
and often the traders here have to face unnecessary anger. Meanwhile, General
Secretary (Organization) Raju Yadav expressed concern and said that incidents
of misbehavior, abuse, closure of shops and harassment against the traders are continuously
increasing, against which organized efforts are needed. A large number of
medicine traders were present in the meeting and all resolved to work together
to strengthen the organization and protect the interests of the traders.
