Pakistan Women's Team Announced for Zimbabwe T20 Series, Amber Kainaat as New Face

Karachi, 09 May (H.S.): Amber Kainaat has been included for the first time in the Pakistan women's cricket team for the upcoming three-match T20 international series against Zimbabwe. In the 15-member squad led by captain Fatima Sana, Saira Jabbeen is the other uncapped player besides Amber.

Fast bowler Amber Kainaat has been rewarded for her excellent performance in the recently concluded National Women's T20 Tournament. Playing for the Invincibles team, she took 11 wickets in eight matches.

Pakistan's team is largely based on the same combination that toured South Africa in February. However, experienced batter Sidra Ameen has not been included in the main team and has been placed among the reserve players. Fast bowler Diana Baig is also in the reserve list.

Off-spinner Rameen Shamim is making a comeback to the team after recovering from injury. She had missed the South Africa tour due to injury. Umm-e-Hani, who was included on that tour in her place, has not been selected this time. Humna Bilal has also been left out.

The first T20 match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played on May 12, while the remaining two matches will be held on May 14 and 15. All matches of the series will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Pakistan Women's Team for Zimbabwe Series: Fatima Sana (Captain), Amber Kainaat, Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Ann Fatima, Gul Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali, Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvez, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Saira Jabbeen, Tasmia Rubab, and Tuba Hassan.

Reserve Players: Diana Baig, Momina Riassat, Sadf Shamass, Sidra Ameen, and Saida Aroob Shah.
