New Delhi, May 30 (H.S.): The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday stated that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 could not commence at the scheduled time at certain examination centres on May 30 due to a technical issue reported by its examination partner, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
According to the NTA, the technical problem has now been resolved, and measures have been put in place to ensure that no candidate is adversely affected. The agency assured that all affected candidates will be provided with the full compensatory time required to complete their examinations.
Issuing a revised schedule, the agency stated that the entry process for candidates appearing in the afternoon session will begin at 2:30 p.m., while the examination will now commence at 4:00 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 3:00 p.m.
The NTA further clarified that candidates appearing in the morning session are being given the full allotted duration to attempt their question papers and will be permitted to leave the examination centres only after the completion of the entire examination period.
Expressing regret over the inconvenience caused to students and parents, the agency said that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination process.
For assistance or additional information, the NTA has issued its helpline number +91-11-40759000 and email address [cuet-ug@nta.ac.in](mailto:cuet-ug@nta.ac.in) for candidates and stakeholders.
