
New Delhi, May 29 (H.S.): A meeting of Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from states governed by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has been scheduled for June 10 to mark the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre.
The meeting, to be held at The Ashok Hotel, will include a felicitation ceremony in honour of Prime Minister Modi. During the gathering, a special resolution praising Modi’s leadership and highlighting the achievements of his tenure is also expected to be passed.
According to party sources, the objective of the meeting is to formulate a nationwide outreach campaign aimed at taking the achievements of the Modi government over the past 12 years to the people across the country. The meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Modi himself.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President Nitin Naveen, Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, along with several senior ministers of the government, are expected to attend the meeting.
Discussions during the meeting will focus on the achievements of the Modi government over the last 12 years, governance initiatives, organisational coordination, and strategies for upcoming Assembly elections. The participants will also review key Central government schemes and deliberate on strengthening Centre-State coordination.
It is noteworthy that Narendra Modi first took oath as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014. He has now completed 12 years in office. He returned to power for a second term in 2019 and secured a third consecutive term in 2024, taking oath once again on June 9, 2024.
Since assuming office in 2014, Modi’s tenure has witnessed several major and transformative decisions, including the abrogation of Abrogation of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Mandir, and the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax in India (GST). His government has also launched flagship welfare and development initiatives such as Digital India, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
